A taste of Hawaii in beautiful Corvallis, Oregon, what a delight. So different and SO needed.
Aqua Seafood Restaurant and bar is owned by Iain and Tonya Duncan of Duncan Culinary Ventures, which includes Flat Tail Brewery and Brew BQ. Executive chef is Jason Biga who accents his dishes with local fare and pacific flair.
With a menu that starts with suggestions of citrus coconut prawns and butter lettuce wraps to entrees of macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, shrimp pasta and kobe beef medallions, the menu and the ambience transport diners to the tranquility of the islands.
Behind the full bar, Katy January mixes up her original house house cocktails with classics and seasonal delights to accompany any meal.
The restaurant is located in the Water Street Market building, 151 NW Monroe Ave., overlooking the Riverfront Park and the Willamette River in Corvallis. Aqua is home to some amazing fish tanks and great decor, not too Tiki but just enough to sense the Islands.
Prices are good and range from $5 to $15 for the pupus and $13 to $28 for the main course.
Aqua has quickly caught on and reservations for dinner (not bar) are a must.
